The California Urban Forests Council, The Municipal Superintendant's Association,
The Alliance for Community Trees, & The Inland Urban Forest Council
invite you to attend:
Pechanga Resort and Casino
October 5-7, 2010

This year the California Urban Forest Conference is brought to you by a great partnership forged between The California Urban Forests Council, The Maintenance Superintendents Association, The Alliance for Community Trees, and the Inland Urban Forest Council! We are offering overlapped & intertwined educational conference opportunities.
Join municipal arborists, public works managers, urban forest managers, landscape design professionals, planners, non-profits, public health advocates, and those interested in community trees from across California and the nation for 2½ days of networking, plenary sessions and peer presentations, industry updates, information about the latest products and services, and the annual CA Urban Forestry Awards. With a focus on the opportunities afforded to us by looking squarely at the issues that arise between the green and grey infrastructure, together we can address solutions where everyone benefits, and communities grown healthier in the process. Everyone will leave the conference with tools to positively address change once back at home.
Bring your family and friends and stay for the weekend enjoying the local amenities; hiking, touring local wineries, and horseback riding. Of course Pechanga has a fabulous golf course and spa. The weather should be beautiful and the beaches are a quick drive west to Orange County or San Diego!
Please take a moment to look over the agenda for the conference. We are fortunate to have two exceptional keynote speakers, Dr. Jim Clark, from Hortscience addressing "Arboriculture in the 21st Century - 25 Years of Improvement," and Dr. Dick Jackson, from the UCLA School of Public Health, addressing "The Built Environment & Human Health." We will jump start this event with thought and action provoking information. We have been extremely privileged to assemble a cast of presenters with fresh ideas and solutions to further define the direction of urban and community forestry. We think you will agree. Please join us. Registration, lodging, and additional highlights captured below!
