THE 2007 CALIFORNIA URBAN FOREST CONFERENCE provides an excellent opportunity for urban forest managers, arborists, planners, nonprofit staff and volunteers, scientists, and others interested in the future of California’s urban forests, to come together for two days of networking, plenary sessions, peer presentations, industry updates, and the annual Urban Forestry Awards. This year the conference will focus on the professions, cultures, and communities that influence urban forestry, and everyone will leave the conference strengthened and more prepared to affect positive change once back at home!
We are also offering two exciting field trips, with a chance to visit impressive community-focused projects where residents and public servants worked together toward truly great outcomes in San Francisco and in Oakland.
Bring your family and friends and come a day or two early for some fun in the Bay Area! You’ll be close to some of the best sightseeing in Northern California. Take a drive and enjoy the wine country’s rural charm, explore the rugged Pacific Coast and ancient redwood forest, plus enjoy all that the City of San Francisco has to offer. The Cathedral Hill Hotel is just minutes from Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, a cable car ride, Golden Gate Park or Chinatown, just to name a few of the nearly endless possibilities.
