Learn how to use trees and urban greening for effective community-building. Presenters illustrate with real life examples combined with instructional techniques for engaging community members in urban forestry projects.
Urban Soils Workshop
Innovative techniques to ensure street tree survival even under the most difficult of situations. Important answers to common urban tree challenges.
Collaboration & Public Involvement through Tree Canopy Mapping
You will learn how GIS data can catalyze public involvement and provide cost-share opportunities through current and upcoming mapping efforts in California. Examples will relate to tree planting programs, water resource issues and air quality initiatives.
