The Inland Urban Forest Council (IUFC) is a network of tree advocates that works to advance the greening of cities and the sustainable management of community forests of the Inland Empire, including portions of Riverside and San Bernardino Counties and eastern Los Angeles County.

The Council provides opportunities to learn about and share technical information, funding sources, and community efforts for inland southern California.

The Council works to:
  • share information that will improve the planning and management of community forests
  • obtain and share region-wide funding for urban forestry programs
  • conduct educational field trips, tours, and workshops
  • advocate for tree planting and care by supporting outreach events, such as Arbor Day and Earth Day.
If you are interested in urban forestry in the greater Inland Empire area, come network with local leaders at the next quarterly meeting. Meetings usually include a tour or informative speaker and Continuing Education Credits (CEUs).

IUFC members include urban foresters, arborists, pest control advisors and applicators, planners, tree-care professionals, non-profits, volunteers, public officials, utility companies, nursery professionals, landscape architects, horticulturalists, master gardeners, concerned citizens and agency representatives.

The IUFC is one of seven regional councils in California and advances Inland Empire concerns to the California Urban Forests Council, CAL FIRE (formerly California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection), and the California Community Forestry Advisory Committee (CCFAC).
