With membership in the California Urban Forests Council, you’ll be joining a statewide community of dedicated urban forestry advocates and activists. Your membership insures the longevity of our statewide urban forests. Every city in our state needs more trees to clean our air, conserve our water and energy, enhance our communities and insure our children, particularly children in our urban centers, a more viable, healthier future.
You can be a part of the urban forest movement in many ways. When you join CaUFC, you are immediately linked to a CaUFC chapter in your area. With your local group, you can sign on for tree planting events, community outreach, educational events and other volunteer opportunities.
Your membership allows CaUFC to be a resource for every member who needs information on tree care, watering, where to buy trees, and what kind of trees will work best in your yard. We also have links to other organizations at our site so you’ll always have the latest information on tree care.
Our work is critical to the development of more urban forests in our cities. To achieve that, CaUFC serves as the leading statewide advocate on behalf of urban forestry. We work with our state and local policy makers to insure that awareness of trees as a natural way to sustain and beautify our cities is very important to the health of those communities. We need your voice to add to our strength.
We also want you to have some fun along the way. With your membership, you will also enjoy discounts to all our major events at which we promise you a sense of friendship and community. We are, at heart, a grassroots organization that relies on individual members like you to make a difference. Join us today to help green our cities.
Urban Forestry Professionals have a wide variety of educational opportunities. From conferences to its Certified Urban Forester program, CaUFC helps professional maintain their professional standards. CaUFC certification also enhances professionals’ standing in their communities. Individuals, agencies and peer organizations are invited to participate in our program.
