In order to make membership and participation in CaUFC and it events as open to everyone and affordable as possible, CaUFC and the Regional Urban Forests Councils rely on the underwriting and generosity of agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals whose contributions reflect a commitment to urban forestry.

General Fund or Designated Giving
While contributions to our general fund provide us the greatest degree of flexibility in meeting the needs of California’s urban forestry community, and allow us to prioritize and distribute funds most effectively, we are happy to receive funds given for specific, designated projects as well as funds given in honor or memory of family or friends.

Tax Benefits Through Advance Planning
We are happy to share ways in which someone can make a gift of appreciated assets during their lifetime and enjoy potentially significant tax benefits as a result.

Planned Giving Through Trusts and Estates
We believe that many people who have supported environmental issues, such as urban and community forestry, during their lifetime would like to see their efforts and contributions continue to work after they are gone. We strongly recommend that everyone have some sort of plan for their estate, and especially that everyone have a will. We are happy to assist people with suggestions for establishing trusts and doing general estate planning that includes support for nonprofit organizations of one’s choice, in amounts that fit into each person’s and family’s budget and plans.
